Privacy Policy

A note before we start

At Rivare, we believe trust is earned, not asked for. So before we get into the legal details, here's the short version:

We collect the information we need to send you skincare that works, communicate with you about your order, and improve your experience. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone we don't have to. And you can ask us to delete it at any time.

The longer version is below — written as plainly as we could manage.

1. Who we are

This website (TheRivare.com) is operated by 1303 Commerce LLC, a Wyoming Limited Liability Company trading as "Rivare", located at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Rivare. "You" refers to the person using our site or buying from us.

If you have any questions about this policy, you can email us at admin@therivare.com.

2. What information we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you buy from us, sign up for an account, or contact us, we collect:

  • Name
  • Shipping and billing address
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Payment information (processed by our payment processors — see Section 4)
  • Any messages you send us

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
  • Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
  • How you arrived at our site (referring website or ad)
  • Approximate location (based on IP)

This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

2.3 Information from third parties

If you arrive from a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad, we may receive limited information about how you interacted with that ad.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders
  • Communicate with you about your purchase, shipping, and any issues
  • Send you order confirmations and shipping updates
  • Manage subscriptions (if you signed up for Subscribe & Save — see Section 7)
  • Improve our products, website, and customer experience
  • Show you relevant ads on Meta platforms (if you've visited our site)
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Prevent fraud and protect our business

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

4. Who we share your information with

To run Rivare, we work with trusted third-party service providers. They only receive the information they need to do their job, and they're contractually required to protect it.

Here's everyone we share data with, and why:

Service What they do What we share
Shopify Inc. Hosts our online store All order and account data
Supliful (USA) Manufactures and ships our products Name, shipping address, order details
Stripe, Inc. Processes payments Payment information
PayPal Holdings, Inc. Processes payments Payment information

We may also share information when:

  • Required by law (court order, legal process)
  • Necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property
  • We sell or merge our business (you'd be notified beforehand)

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies — small files stored on your device — for three purposes:

  • Essential cookies: Make the site work (cart, checkout, login). You can't disable these without breaking the site.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how the site is used.
  • Marketing cookies: Let us show you relevant ads on Meta and measure ad performance (Meta Pixel).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you're in the EU/UK, you'll see a cookie consent banner the first time you visit.

6. International data transfers

Rivare is operated by a U.S. company and serves customers in the United States. Your order and account data is primarily stored and processed in the United States.

Some processing may occur outside the United States:

  • Customer service is handled by our team, which is located in Israel. This means staff outside the U.S. may access your name, contact details, and order information in order to respond to your inquiries.
  • Some of our service providers may process limited data on servers in other countries as part of their normal operations.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and your personal information is transferred outside that area, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms — including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the UK's competent authority — unless the transfer is to a country recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.

By using our site, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.

7. Subscribe & Save subscriptions

If you sign up for our Subscribe & Save program:

  • We charge your saved payment method automatically on the schedule you chose (every 60, 120, or 180 days)
  • We'll email you 3 days before each charge as a reminder
  • You can cancel, skip, or change your subscription at any time from your account page or by emailing us
  • No cancellation fees, ever

Cancellations take effect immediately and prevent any future charges. Refunds for charges already processed follow our standard Refund Policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and we may sometimes decline a request as permitted by law.

Rights available depending on jurisdiction:

  • Right to access / know: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to delete: Request that we delete your personal information.
  • Right to correct: Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right of portability: Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format and request that we transfer it to a third party.
  • Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising: Depending on where you reside, you may have a right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or to opt out of processing for purposes considered "targeted advertising" under applicable privacy laws. We don't sell personal information for money — but our use of the Meta Pixel may legally qualify as "sharing" under California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia law. To opt out, email us at admin@therivare.com with the subject line "Opt-Out Request."
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you visit our site with the Global Privacy Control browser signal enabled, we will automatically treat this as an opt-out request for the device and browser you're using. To learn more, visit globalprivacycontrol.org. Other than GPC, we do not currently recognize "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Right not to be discriminated against: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights:

Email us at admin@therivare.com. We'll respond within 30 days as required by law.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. Before accepting such a request, we'll require proof you've authorized the agent to act for you, and we may need to verify your identity directly.

If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA):

All the rights listed above apply. Use the subject line "California Privacy Request" when emailing.

If you live in the EU/UK (GDPR):

All the rights listed above apply. You also have the right to:

  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Marketing communications:

If we send you marketing emails (we don't currently, but we may in the future), you can opt out anytime using the unsubscribe link in any email. Even if you opt out of marketing, we'll still send essential communications about your account, orders, or subscriptions.

9. Complaints and appeals

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please email us first at admin@therivare.com — we want a chance to fix it.

Depending on where you live, you may have:

  • A right to appeal our decision (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states). To appeal, email us with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" within 30 days of our decision.
  • A right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU, UK, California Attorney General, etc.).

10. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as we need it to:

  • Provide our services to you
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax and business records, for example, must be kept for several years under applicable law)
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements

When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.

If you ask us to delete your data, we'll do so — except where we're legally required to keep it.

11. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption across the entire site
  • PCI-DSS compliant payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)
  • Limited team access to customer data
  • Regular security reviews

That said, no system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

12. Children

Rivare is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

If you're a parent and believe your child has given us information, email us at admin@therivare.com and we'll delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top.

If we make significant changes (like collecting new types of data or sharing with new third parties), we'll notify you by email or with a prominent notice on the site.
