A note before we start
Skincare is personal. What works for one woman's skin may do nothing for another's — and we'd rather you find out fast and get your money back than feel stuck with something that isn't right for you.
That's why we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on every order. No return shipping, no restocking fee, no need to send the product back. If Rivare isn't working for you, email us — we'll make it right.

1. Our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
You have 30 days from the date your order was delivered to request a full refund.
This applies whether the product is sealed, opened, or partially used. Skincare needs time to be tested on real skin — we won't punish you for actually using it.
What you get back
- A full refund of the product price
- Plus any sales tax you paid
- (Shipping was free, so there's nothing to refund there)
What we won't ask of you
- You don't need to ship the product back
- You don't need to provide proof of purchase from a third party
- You don't need to fight with your bank
What we ask of you
- Email us within 30 days of delivery
- Include your order number
- Tell us — briefly — what didn't work for you (so we can keep getting better)
2. How to request a refund
Email admin@therivare.com with:
- Subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Order Number]"
- Your order number (it starts with #RIV)
- A short note about what didn't work
We'll respond within 2 business days, confirm the refund, and process it. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
3. Some honest limits
We want to be fair to you and protect ourselves from the small number of people who abuse refund policies. Here's where we draw the line:
One refund per customer
You're entitled to one money-back refund in the lifetime of your account. If your first order didn't work, we trust that. If you order again after that, we hope it's because you found something that worked — and we expect you to keep it.
Bundle refunds
If you ordered a Bundle (The Ritual, 2 Rituals, or 3 Rituals) and only one product didn't work for you, we'll refund the price difference between your bundle and a single product — not the full bundle price. The other products are yours to keep.
If none of the products in the bundle worked, we'll refund the full bundle price.
Photo verification (in some cases)
For unusual situations — such as multiple refund requests from the same household, very high-value orders, or cases where the product description is vague — we may ask for a quick photo of the product before processing the refund. This is rare. Most refunds go through without any photo.
4. Subscribe & Save refunds
Your Subscribe & Save subscription has two refund mechanics, depending on the situation:
First Subscribe & Save shipment
The first shipment under any Subscribe & Save plan is treated like any other order — covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee.
Recurring Subscribe & Save shipments
You can cancel, skip, or pause your subscription at any time by logging into your account or emailing us. We'll always email you 3 business days before any charge so you have time to make changes.
For shipments that have already been charged and shipped:
- If you haven't received the package yet, email us — we may be able to redirect or cancel it
- If you've received the package and it's been less than 30 days, we'll process a refund per our standard policy (one refund per lifetime applies)
- If more than 30 days have passed since delivery, we can't process a refund, but you can cancel future shipments immediately
What we won't do
We will not charge "early cancellation" fees. Ever. Subscribing should never feel like a trap.
5. Damaged, defective, or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, this is a separate situation from a refund — and it's on us, fully.

- Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos
- We'll ship a replacement at no cost
- We won't ask you to ship the original back
- This does not count against your one-refund-per-lifetime limit
6. Refunds we cannot process
We're not able to issue refunds in the following situations:
- More than 30 days after delivery
- Bundle refund requests where you've already received a refund on a previous order from the same account
- Subscribe & Save charges that have already been processed and shipped, beyond the 30-day window
- Orders shipped to addresses you confirmed but later claimed were wrong (see Shipping Policy)
- Suspected fraudulent activity (multiple accounts, mismatched addresses, chargebacks on prior orders)
If you fall into one of these situations and feel there's been a misunderstanding, email us anyway. We'll review case by case.
7. Disputes and chargebacks
Before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank, PayPal, or card issuer, please email us first at admin@therivare.com.
We can usually resolve issues directly within 2 business days — faster than any dispute process. Skipping that step and going straight to a chargeback often costs us money in fees, even when we end up issuing the refund anyway.
If you've already opened a dispute, we'll work with the issuer to resolve it. If we determine that the dispute was opened in bad faith (the product was delivered, you used it, and you opened a chargeback without contacting us), we reserve the right to:
- Decline future orders from your account
- Block your email and shipping address from future purchases
We'd rather just talk it out.
8. Refund processing time
Once we approve your refund:

Refund timing ultimately depends on your bank or card issuer. If your refund hasn't arrived after the timelines above, email us and we'll investigate.
